Here’s the scoop – I’ve been working on (more like brainstorming) putting together a new series of extreme bridal portraits and showcasing them on a new site. I’d like to keep this current site (kyleperison.com) geared towards my wedding work.

My goal with bridal portraits, or trash the dress photos if you may, is to create a single, mind-blowing image that the client receives as a HUGE canvas to display proudly in their home. I’m hate focusing on taking hundreds of images by capturing a single event. Seriously – in the end how many of those photos will the client absolutely love and frame for the wall? Five maybe?

I’m pleased to annouce NoDressesWereHarmed.com and cannot wait to release a few special images that are currently in the works.

Terry and Katie Marentette - We love all the pictures but find the black and white the most interesting. The way the light reflects gives such a sharp but warm focus to the pictures. Of course the picture with the three lovely ladies in the lane way in colour certainly captures their personalities. Kyle Perison has done a remarkable job of using light and filters to capture the moments beautifully and forever.

Colleen made a wonderful bride and Patrick a handsome groom. The photos will forever remind us of how they truly felt on their special day. We could not make it in person; but we now feel like we had an opportunity to share a small part of their wedding day with them.

Nicha - I love the misty one in b&w, 8th photo from top. It looks like love that will last a lifetime.

Also 11th photo in color with mountain in background. The only things in focus are the couple reaching for a kiss, and the big plant that reminds me of how Colleen and Patrick met. (or rather, how I met THEM)

You bring out a lot of abstract emotion in the out-of-focus sections of your photo. With a little bit more work on timing (e.g. catching smile on its way up, not down), I’ll wish I had you for all my important events!
