Matt & Sara Paint Fight

There are no words to describe how amazing this session was. Matt and Sara were complete troopers with everything-even the ice cold water from the car wash. The initial plan was to do this shoot with a pure white background but they day turned out to be absolutely gorgeous so we decided to rock out at Kalamalka Park.

During the paint throwing, we laid out a large amount of plastic sheeting on the ground to insure we did not destroy the Provincial Park. With a few hours of photoshop – I merged a few images together to remove the white, plastic sheeting. Turned out pretty well!

Hope you all enjoy these images!

These photos are absolutely stunning! The last one of you two kissing in the garage is fabulous, so much passion. And the fact that you are wearing Converse warms my heart :)

These are different from any Trash the Dress photos I’ve seen. I love how action shots were incorporated into the mix.

THAT is FREAKING AWESOME!!!! The staging, the fantasy, the lighting (must have been strong and fast!) and location all worked perfectly. And of course the editing! Love the push on the tonal contrast and noticed not a drop of paint on the ground. Lots of love went into this but well worth every drop. The 1 action shot reminded me of The Matrix. So inspired!

Angel - April 5, 2010 - 9:30 am

OMG!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! The divineness!!!

Hi,
Nice shoot and it seems that the couple did have a lot of fun.
Are you still in touch with Sara?

I might be intersted in buying the trashed dress as is, no cleaning required…
This is serious and hones request.

I try to restore the trashed dress back to wearable (if possible, which is not always the case) If the dress is repairable, I donate it to people who can’t afford to buy a wedding dress for their special day.
If not, I donate the dress to a local organization which organizes vacations for children (for their dress-up chest)
I can already tell you that I can’t pay very much for trashed dresses as it is for a good cause.

The reason that I buy trashed wedding dresses is that they are mostly very cheap, are being thrown away or kept in a box and that I can help other people with their dreams.

I like to work with clothes, and that’s the main reason for myself for doing this…

I hope you want to sell the dress for a small fee to me. I pay for shipping.

Kyle, GREAT concept. It was a fun day working along side you and behind the scenes. I wasn’t sure you were going to be able to pull it off… but the proof is in the images. VERY well done. You were able to take the thoughts out of your head and put them to print. “You walked the talk” I look forward to showing everyone the process how it was done with the HD footage I captured during the day along with a bit of insight from you and your thought process. Thanks for asking me to go along for the ride!
